Banyan Hypnosis Center's website was recently listed as a resource in an article regarding hypnosis for weight loss in Metropolis, Japan's #1 English magazine.
The article, titled "Mind Over Matter," addresses Japans growing weight problem. The rise in obesity can partially be attributed to the increase in fast food establishments and an increased pace of life, particularly in larger cities such as Tokyo. Americans living abroad |
in Japan turn to fast food more frequently, especially if they do not understand the Japanese writing on menus. One American expatriate attributes his kilogram (2.2 pounds) per month weight gain to "Big Mac breakfasts and late-night socializing.)
Beth Phillips-Pogan, founder for the Phillips-Talbot Therapeutic Center in Minami-Azabu Japan cites emotional issues as a likely source of weight gain over 70 pounds, and further explains, "If a client is willing to go deeper and explore these issues through hypnosis, they can identify and heal the issue, eliminating the need to protect themselves [with the fat "shield"], and the weight will melt away permanently." regarding weight is well-aligned with the philosophy followed by the staff at Banyan Hypnosis Center. - AS] Many clients experience dramatic alterations in their eating habits after a single hypnosis session, but addressing the deeper issues and fine tuning the process takes six to eight sessions in the Japanese hypnosis practices mentioned [Banyan recommends four to six sessions. -AS]
