SELF-HYPNOSIS CURES
KIDS' HABIT COUGH

Dr.Ran D.Anbar of a University in Syracuse New York authored and conducted a recent study aimed at teaching self- hypnosis to children to help them control their "Habit Coughs"; a habitual cough with no medical basis. The research group consisted of 51 children who had been experiencing persistent coughs for an average of 13 months.

Each child participated in up to three sessions with a healthcare specialist who taught them self-hypnosis to reduce their periods of coughing.


Of those participants, 78 percent we able to eliminate their coughs immediately after the sessions. And, 12 percent more were able to eliminate their chronic coughing after one month of practicing self-hypnosis.

The children were taught various techniques to take their minds off of the cough, and were instructed to practice these self-hypnosis techniques every day for two weeks. After learning this process, some of the kids used self-hypnosis for improvements in other areas of their lives. 


The results of the study are quite encouraging.
