The Secret Language of Feelings Is On Amazon.com
Calvin D. Banyan, the CEO and Supervising Hypnotherapist at the Banyan Hypnosis Center for Training & Services, Inc. has had his new book, The Secret Language of Feelings and it is now listed on Amazon.com. His previous book, Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy: Basic to Advanced Techniques for the Professional,
hit #1 in the categories of "Hypnosis" and "Hypnotherapy." And since then has remained in the top three most popular books for over 18 months! Quite a success in the competitive market.
His new book, The Secret Language, was inspired by both his training and experience in hypnotherapy. He says that, "Theoretically when a client accepts a hypnotic suggestion, it should be permanent. But in my experience that was not always true. The suggestions seemed to wear off. As I continued to work with my clients, using hypnotic age regression techniques I discovered why this was. In fact the suggestions did not wear off, they were eventually rejected by the subconscious mind. The reason that the suggestion was rejected was because the old behavior, such as smoking or overeating, was serving some kind of purpose. The purpose of these kinds of behaviors, as it turned out, was to help my clients cope with their feelings. So when the bad habit was suggested away using hypnosis, the hypnotherapy clients was left without a coping mechanism that enabled them to deal with day to day emotions and even emotions from the past."
In The Secret Language of Feelings, Banyan goes on to explain how this process of distracting ourselves through the use of food, drugs, alcohol, shopping, working, and the list |
goes on, is caused by lacking and understanding of what feelings are all about.
He goes on to proclaim that "All feelings are good!" Then he goes explain his "rational approach" to understanding feelings. This is a completely logical approach to understanding feelings and emotion. Banyan says that, for too long we have looked at feelings as being irrational. He says jokingly that, "Emotions are so logical, that even men can understand their feelings, once they start to learn this secret language"
In his book, Banyan lays out a simple three-step approach to taking back control of how you feel and what you do. He not only shows you how to deal with emotions but shows you how to use them to experience a more successful and satisfying life. He will show you how to overcome anger, frustration and even depression. The three-step approach also appears to be the missing link in most behavioral change programs, such as dieting, breaking habits and even overcoming addiction.
