Hypnotherapy Business License Fee May Be Lowered in Pembroke Pines

To open a hypnotherapy business in Pembroke Pines, FL the occupational fee is $937.50 because hypnotherapy is categorized with fortune tellers, astrologers, clairvoyants, palm readers and psychics. Amy Aponte, a hopeful future hypnotherapist from the city, thought that the fee was absurd and has since brought it up to the city commissioners. Lisa Alvarez, a hypnotherapist who attended the same hypnotherapy school as Aponte and lives in Pembroke Pines, said she thought the $937.50 occupational fee was insulting.

The ordinance seeks to reclassify hypnotherapists as members of the healing arts profession, allowing those wanting to practice to pay $100 a year for an occupational license. The matter will have its final vote on August 21.

Calvin Banyan, CEO of the Banyan Hypnosis Center for Training & Services, Inc in St. Paul, MN, was awarded the "Certified Instructor of the Year" at the 2002 National Guild of Hypnotists convention in Nashua, NH over the past weekend. He was awarded due to the high number of hypnotherapists he has trained, his good reputation and most importantly, his hard work and dedication to his occupation and his students

Those who know him are thrilled at the recognition that this award brings to Calvin and his students. The award is well deserved, and was graciously accepted. Calvin was not only modest on stage, but he made sure to mention his wife, Maureen, as a fully functional part of their winning team. Congratulations to Calvin and Maureen! Doctors Must Behave Like Humans

Though the art of communication is not taught in any medical college in the country, doctors must learn to understand the modern art and tools of human behavior, for better interaction with patients, says Dr. Moiz Hussein, at a lecture to doctors in Sobraj Maternity Hospital , held in connection with its 74th anniversary. Dr.Moiz Hussein who is a PhD in Metaphysics and Hypnotherapy gave a clinical presentation to post graduate doctors of Sobraj Hospital and Ziauddin Medical University on how to communicate effectively with patients with the help of modern learning methods.

He suggests that medical professionals should become more familiar with important tools such as hypnosis and hypnotherapy.
